The Boxer Rebellion on the RiO!B
Behold the band from the U.K. known as The Boxer Rebellion. Their new album, Union, was self-released by them on iTunes and it went Number One on the Alternative iTunes charts in the U.K. outselling Coldplay, Kings of Leon, MGMT and Fleet Foxes. They charted at number two on the U.S. iTunes Alternative charts right behind My Morning Jacket.
These guys are an unsigned band and just completed their first mini tour of the U.S. with one show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles and two shows at the Mercury Lounge in New York City. All three shows were sold out (I was lucky enough to attend a Mercury show) and they are an amazing band live and on disc.
