Guitar Hero: Van Halen
A story that I reported on a few months ago on the RiO!B has officially been confirmed. Activision will be releasing the video game Guitar Hero: Van Halen sometime in the second half of this year.
Songs that will appear in the game include the greatest hits from the band as well as songs from Queen, Blink-182, Weezer, The Offspring and Queens of the Stone Age. Also the band in the game, according to Activision’s senior VP of global brand management, will be”…Van Halen, not Van Hagar.” So David Lee Roth will be in the next installment of the Guitar Hero franchise.
As far as whether Michael Anthony, the former bassist of VH, will be in the game or if you have the opportunity to play as Sammy Hagar or Gary Cherone have not been addressed yet. Regardless this now gives you another reason to consider purchasing Guitar Hero over Rock Band.
