Godsmack recording “very aggressive” album for 2010

“I don’t think there’s going to be any Voodoo’s or Serenity’s on this one. We decided to go balls out!”

These are the words Sully Erna spoke when talking about Godsmack’s new album set for a 2010 release. In an interview with Artisan News Service that you can see here, Sully talked about the band’s newest album since 2006′s IV which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

“It’s gonna be really heavy. I mean, it’s very aggressive. I’m not really sure; it’s very premature right now. Right now we just finished one track for the Crüe Fest this Summer. But as far as the whole record goes, I think it’s going to be a lot more in your face.”

Godsmack is going on the road this summer as part of the Crue Fest 2 tour along with Motley Crue, Theory of a Deadman, Drowning Pool and Charm City Devils.
