Adam Lambert in Queen?

Yes I understand I’m talking about an American Idol contestant on the RiO!B which could be considered a sin. But when it involves one of the biggest bands in rock music I think I get a free pass.
That being said, it has been rumored that AI loser Adam Lambert could be the next frontman for the band Queen. These rumors started swirling when Adam performed with the band on the final episode of American Idol and the band had already offered him the job. However, Queen guitarist Brian May quickly put many of the rumors to rest when he spoke to Rolling Stone in an exclusive interview.
“Amongst all that furor, there wasn’t really a quiet moment to talk,” May said. “But [drummer Roger Taylor] and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point. It’s not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn’t that easy. But I’d certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there.”
Now while many would think this would be a dynamite opportunity for a singer there is a con to the pro. While Lambert (the sheepish lion?) would be at the center of one of the most iconic rock bands, he is also trying to replace Freddy Mercury. Who wants to start off their career by being a replacement? Also, Queen just split with their last singer, Paul Rodgers, only a month ago and I think the band would like some time before selecting a new frontman.
What do you think? Could Lambert the Sheepish Lion (points for anyone who gets the reference) be a good frontman for Queen? Should he be the frontman for Queen? I smell a Rock Query of the Day!
