Meg White gets married



Meg White, drummer of The White Stripes, recently tied the knot in a small wedding ceremony held in Jack White’s backyard in Nashville, TN.

The new bride exchanged vows with Jackson Smith, son of Patti Smith and late guitarist of MC5 Fred “Sonic” Smith. The ceremony was presided over by the most reverend Benjamin Swank. According to a statement on the White Stripes website, “a small party of close friends and family attended.”

That wasn’t the only wedding to take place, however. Jack Lawrence, bassist of The Raconteurs also swapped wedding rings with his girlfreind Jo McCaughey in Jack’s backyard. So much love for one yard to hold. But then I’m sure that the entertainment for the reception was amazing. The White Stripes and The Raconteurs? The supergroup of wedding bands.
