New Weezer in 2009?
Say it ain’t so! I’m sorry. I started a story with the journalism cliche of using a song title to describe a band. Let me start again.
An online post on Weezer’s website has suggested that a new album from Rivers & Co. might come out this year. The post says that the band worked with producer Jackknife Lee and the songs were mixed in March of ’09.
There is no release date and the Weez say on their website that the album “may come out in summer, fall, or ???. We shall see.” They also go on to say that the first single has not been selected but it will probably come out this summer.
This is kinda cool. We’ll get a new Weezer single this summer, see them on the road with Blink-182 (hopefully playing some of the new songs) and then we get a new album. Those boys are so nice!
