Bret Michaels taken out by a set piece at the Tonys

The Tony Awards aren’t exactly what you call rock n’ roll. However this year the guitars were out in full force as Bret Michaels and the cast of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages took the stage to sing Poison’s “Nothin’ But A Good Time”.

While the performance was a success, Bret decided to schmooze the crowd a bit longer than he was supposed to. Which means he didn’t see the set piece descending towards the stage behind him until it was too late. As he turned around he was knocked out by a piece of the set that came down right on his face and floored him. The result of this blow to the head was a fractured nose and three stitches in Bret’s lip.

And who says being on Broadway doesn’t have it’s share of bruises and bumps?
