Green Day appearing on Rock Band

On July 7th, Rock Band will release a DLC pack that will feature three Green Day tracks from their new album 21st Century Breakdown. The songs will be the single “Know Your Enemy” and the tracks “21 Guns” and “East Jesus Nowhere”.

This will be the first time that Green Day has had songs playable in the Rock Band series. But it won’t be the last according to Billie Joe Armstrong. “Rock Band is a really cool way for fans of all ages to experience our music,” Armstrong said in a press release. “Additional Green Day songs and projects will be announced at a later date.”

  1. Fuelie79 Says:

The following Green Day songs were leaked in a file from the game Rock Band: Unplugged. Counting the three that are coming out on July 7th, that’s 20 Green Day songs. The only band to have that many songs in Rock Band is Red Hot Chili Peppers who also have twenty. Their twenty came from the entire album, Blood Sugar Sex Magik, and 3 songs from their most recent album, Stadium Arcadium. Not even AC/DC, who had their own game have exceeded that amount. It is looking as if Pearl Jam will pass 20 songs by a large margin with their debut album, Ten released as well as their upcoming album, Backspacer, and their own game in 2010.
