Jack White and Jimmy Page don’t like Guitar Hero

While millions of people around the world love the fact that they can pretend to be rock stars on the popular video game series Guitar Hero, two real life guitar heroes aren’t giving the game their endorsement anytime soon.
At a press conference for their new documentary It Might Get Loud, Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and White Stripes/The Raconteurs axeman Jack White spoke out against the game when White called it “a little sad.”
“It’s depressing to have a label come and tell you that Guitar Hero is how kids are learning about music and experiencing music,” White said. And Page didn’t hesitate to voice his opinion on why he wasn’t a fan of the franchise. “You think of the drum part that John Bonham did on Led Zeppelin’s first track on the first album, Good Times Bad Times. How many drummers in the world can play that part, let alone on Christmas morning?”
So if you’re someone who values the opinions of rock stars then you have already burned your plastic guitar. Although they were talking about Guitar Hero so does that mean they think Rock Band is okay? I hope so because The Beatles: Rock Band is shaping up to be amazing. Especially with the new trailer that was just released.
It Might Get Loud opens in New York and Los Angeles on August 14th.
