Papa Roach/Chevelle/P.O.D. members become Interview

Put your power rings together, rock stars! Papa Roach! Chevelle! P.O.D.! Rock Star: Supernova! (Ominous green glow becomes brighter). When your powers combine…I am Interview! Who?

Lucas Rossi, the winner of Rock Star: Supernova (that show on CBS from a few years ago), Marcos Curiel (guitarist of P.O.D.), Joe Leffler (former bassist of Chevelle) and Dave Buckner (former drummer of Papa Roach) have joined forces to become a new alt-rock supergroup called Interview.

It would be easy to write this band off by saying “Well their lead singer is from a talent show on TV…and he’s Canadian. So it can’t be that good.” Luckily he’s got members of successful bands backing him up so the music might not sound all that bad.

Now this would be the part where I tell you to go and check out their music on their Myspace page. Unfortunately I can’t do that this time because…they have no music on their Myspace page yet. But they got pics. And a Twitter page. That do anything for you? No? Well then you’re just gonna have to wait for the music like the rest of us.

You think it’ll sound any good though? I’m interested in your thoughts on this one.

This actually excites me! I was addicted to that show that summer, and Lukas was my favorite contestant. I’ve listened to some stuff from his other bands, Rise Electric and Cleavage and it sounds really good. Too bad the band Rock Star Supernova sucked really badly. I don’t think they actually wrote the songs though. I think someone from CBS probably did, like they do with American Idol.

Anyway, I haven’t heard from Lukas since, and I’m happy that he actually got somewhere. It was cool that he helped out JD from INXS too, cause I liked that guy. POD and Papa Roach are two nu metal bands that I like, but had like 3 hits, and that’s really it. Chevelle is a different story.

My opinion is that they will either be really good like Rise Electric (which I recommend you check out) or really bad like Rock Star Supernova (which Tommy Lee should be ashamed of).

I always end up typing a lot when I respond on here.
