Ozzy is dropping Zakk Wylde

Rumors that Ozzy Osbourne had wanted to drop Zakk Wylde from his band have been circulating a long time. But the rumors were founded in truth in a recent interview that Ozzy did with Classic Rock Magazine when he said he’s replacing Zakk with new guitarist John 5 from Rob Zombie.
Ozzy said that the change in guitarists hasn’t caused a rift between the two. “I haven’t fallen out with Zakk, but Zakk’s got his own band, and I felt like my stuff was beginning to sound like Black Label Society. I just felt like I wanted a change, y’know?”
This is all because Ozzy is currently working on his new record that Zakk has already laid down tracks for. “Zakk came down and did a bunch of stuff and I don’t know if I want to use it but I’ve got it there if I do.” Besides everyone pushing him to get John 5 to be his new axeman, Ozzy also said he has someone flying in from Greece to try out for the position.
As for Zakk’s reaction to the situation you need to look no further than his Twitter page. Zakk posted the following entry, “I haven’t heard anything about this. Until I talk to the Boss I don’t know. I love Ozzy.”
