Judas Priest has a Superfan

Think you’re a superfan? Are you the most dedicated fan of your band? Can you sing every lyric to your favorite album and even air drum every single fill like a pro? You may think so but that’s until you meet Jim Bartek.

According to Rolling Stone (via Cleveland’s Plain Dealer) Jim Bartek is the biggest fan of Judas Priest. How big of a fan is he? When Judas Priest released their album Nostradamus on June 17th, 2008, Bartek listened to the double album every single day for 371 days in a row. The double LP comes in at a quite long one-hour and forty- two minutes which is quite a bit of time to block out to listen to an album. But Bartek said he would listen to it twice a day.

Bartek gained the nickname “Nostradamus” from his friends and was even sent a third row ticket to Judas Priest’s show last night in Cleveland. “I thought a friend sent it, but they’re all denying it,” Bartuk said. “Maybe it was [singer] Rob Halford. I hear he wants to talk with me.”

Management from Judas Priest released a statement about the Superfan and his incredible auditory feat. “Thanks for being such a supportive fan. It’s much appreciated — glad you love the album so much!”

So how about you? Are you as big a Superfan as Jim Bartek?
