Weezer wrapping up 7th album

You would think that Weezer already has a busy summer based solely on the tour they’re doing with Blink-182. Looks like they have a lot more in mind for this summer season.

Over at the band’s website, they’ve laid out a specific plan as to what they hope to accomplish in the coming months. On the subject of the band’s brand new album: “The bands 7th album, title TBA, is pretty close to a wrap now (after a mild false alarm back in the spring), though there is some work yet remaining to be done. There have also been some other special weezer studio recordings done recently, but more on that later.”

In addition to that news, they also plan on releasing a deluxe edition of their album Pinkerton, a non-physical release and a whole lot more. Plus it turns out that the band Sugar Ray, who has an album called Music for Cougars coming out soon, has an unreleased Weezer song on it called “Love is the Answer”.

I love when bands give us so much to look forward to and also tell us about it in advance. It’s like they really care about us after all. Thanks Rivers! You’re the bestest!
