Blur is done reuniting
It was such a happy time when we all knew that the original lineup of the band Blur was reuniting for a few gigs in the U.K. with the hope of many more to come. Sadly, though, those days are officially over.
Bassist Alex James recently talked to BBC News about the reunion and how it abruptly ended. “That was what we said we’d do and we did it and it was great. It hasn’t been mentioned the idea of doing anything else but hey, it was great.”
James went on to say that the band’s Glastonbury gig was the best show they had ever done. He remained giddy after the shows were over. “I haven’t been able to contain the joy that [the reunion concerts] brought to all of us. It was very, very emotional. Everything we hoped it would be and more.” So for all of you that managed to see Blur in the U.K. give yourselves a pat on the back. You saw something that, from the sound of it, won’t happen again.
