Johnny Cash in Guitar Hero 5
Guitar Hero 5 is continuing to make headlines not only with its wide array of songs you can play but the characters you can unlock as well. First you have Shirley Manson, the lead singer from Garbage. You have the legendary guitarist Carlos Santana and now you can unlock the Man in Black himself: Johnny Cash. Pitchfork (via NME) posted the story of Johnny Cash being a playable character in GH5. The trailer shows the digital Cash playing an acoustic guitar in his trademark style to the song “Ring of Fire”.
I’m not sure how I feel about this. I mean I love Johnny Cash and could definitely be called a guitar hero but…well he’s dead. I don’t even know if Johnny Cash would like seeing himself in the game. What do you guys think? Should dead rock stars be in these games?
