Aerosmith cancel tour

Steven Tyler went down for the count and so did the rest of Aerosmith’s summer tour.
Aerosmith, after Steven Tyler fell off the stage at a performance at the Sturgis Motorcycle rally, have canceled the rest of their summer tour. Tyler, who was dancing for the crowd while the band was fixing a sound issue, did a spin on the catwalk of the stage and fell backwards into the audience, breaking his shoulder and cutting open his head which required 20 stitches.
Guitarist Joe Perry expressed his sadness about the early end of the band’s time on the road. “Words can’t express the sadness I feel for having to cancel this tour. We hope we can get the Aerosmith machine up and running again as soon as possible.”
Doctors have recommended that Steven rest and the band wants to give him time to recover from his injuries. Yet the frontman was still in a joking mood about the whole incident. “I wanted to go out to the crowd to continue the show… so, the Train Kept A- Rollin’ and I ran out on the catwalk and grabbed my mic to finish the song,” he said in a released statement. “I was doing the Tyler shuffle and then I zigged when I should have zagged…AND I slipped, and as I live on the edge…I fell off the edge!”
We’re hoping that Steven gets better soon and we’re hoping that this incident doesn’t mark the end of an amazing touring band.
