Time Magazine selects top 10 electric guitarists

Time Magazine came out with a list of the top ten electric guitarists yesterday. I’m not really a fan of these lists being that there’s hundreds if not thousands of them that come out every year and they always go with safe picks. When is someone gonna come out with a list that says the top guitarist is someone like Bo Diddley or Kurt Cobain? That’s the list I wanna see.
That being said, here’s Time’s top ten electric guitarists. Although there’s 11 guitarists on this list because Time wanted to crank up their list to eleven, according to them. Oh wow! That’s so funny! A Spinal Tap reference for a guitar article? You guys are so witty over at Time!
1 – Jimi Hendrix
2 – Slash
3 – B.B. King
4 – Keith Richards
5 – Eric Clapton
6 – Jimmy Page
7 – Chuck Berry
8 – Lou Reed
9 – Yngwie Malmsteen
10 – Prince
11 – Johnny Ramone
Now while I feel that a lot of the guitar players on this list deserve to be there, a few of them are missing. I feel that, with the tone of this list, Angus Young should be on there. After what I saw him do in concert that guy deserves to be higher on a ton of lists.
What do you guys think? Who’s missing from the list? Who shouldn’t be on there? The floor is yours.

I find it very hard to believe that Slash is the second best guitarist that ever lived.
