You can finally be Kurt Cobain
As we draw closer to September, two major video games are ready to claim dominance of the digital rock n’ roll world. Guitar Hero 5 and The Beatles: Rock Band are poised to take your plastic guitar to places it has never been before and now GH5 is ready to bring another rock fantasy to life. You can play as Kurt Cobain.
In the video up top, the digital Cobain walks out on stage to the roar of the crowd before playing the familiar opening chords to “Smells Like Teen Spirit” which is one of two Nirvana songs in the game (the other being “Lithium”). So, if memory serves me, you now have the chance to play as Johnny Cash, Shirley Manson, Carlos Santana and now Kurt Cobain and Matt Bellamy from Muse in GH5.
Will all these playable rock stars be able to add up to the epicness of playing as The Fab Four on Rock Band? September is gonna be a fun month. The Beatles: Rock Band comes out on September 9th and Guitar Hero 5 comes out on September 1st.
