Them Crooked Vultures open for Arctic Monkeys
Last night at a show in old Londontown, supergroup Them Crooked Vultures played a show as an opening act for the band Arctic Monkeys. Now I think this should have been the other way around but since the Monkeys’ new album Humbug just hit stores and was produced by TCV frontman Josh Homme, it seemed only fitting.
NME.com reported that the band showed up on stage rather early to the O2 Brixton Academy where the show took place. They played songs that have started to become familiar to those following the band’s updates online including “Elephants”, “Daffodils” and “Nobody Loves Me And Neither Do I” of which we have video from last night’s show up top.
As for the headliners, the Arctic Monkeys played a solid set and are all warmed up for their gigs at the Reading and Leeds festivals. Their album is currently in stores and it’s considered to be the band’s biggest success. So much so that they’re even getting Twitter endorsements from P. Diddy telling people to go and buy the album. You know he actually saw them at Highline Ballroom in NYC and jumped into the mosh pit? I guess he really does dig this band.
