Oasis breaks up

“It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight,” he wrote. “People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with [singer, his brother] Liam a day longer.”
That quote up top was written on Oasis’s official website by guitarist Noel Gallagher. It’s official, rockers. The iconic band we all grew up with known as Oasis has split. Why? Because a massive fight broke out between lead singer Liam Gallagher and Noel prior to a show they were scheduled to play in Paris last night according to NME.
Other bands at the scene of the fight talked about what went down just before Noel walked. Singer Amy McDonald said on her Twitter page “Oasis canceled again with one minute to stage time!!! Liam smashed noels guitar, huuuge fight!”.
The band Vampire Weekend spoke to NME about what they saw when concert promoters announced that Oasis had split and wouldn’t play. “There were some people out in the crowd crying, we went and consoled them,” drummer Chris Tomson said. “They put that sign on the screen, saying there’s been an altercation in the band. We saw some people in the front row starting to cry. They were sad – they wanted to see Oasis.”
Now this isn’t the first time that Oasis has split. Nine years ago, in Paris, the band went through a very similar scenario. So will this split be the one that stays permanent? As annoying as Liam and Noel can be we’re hoping that this is just a brother’s quarrel that will blow over soon.
