Thom Yorke releasing two new songs

Radiohead must be starting a side business that specializes in surprises. Between leaking their new song “These Are My Twisted Words“, releasing a new song called “Harry Patch (In Memory Of)” and pretty much keeping the Internet wondering what’s coming next, they’ve kept the fans on their toes. So it’s only fitting that lead singer Thom Yorke would release two new songs on limited edition vinyl and not tell anyone about it.
Twentyfourbit (via Exclaim) have reported that Thom is releasing two brand new songs entitled “The Hollow Earth” and “Apart By Horses” on September 22nd. But if you wanna get your hands on these records you’re gonna have to be crafty.
The 12-inch will only have 4,000 copies released in North America, 4,000 copies in Europe and 300 copies in Canada. There is some speculation that the song “The Hollow Earth” is the tune that Thom wrote for the New Moon soundtrack but there’s no confirmation on that. All that RH’s management has said about the record is that it has “really awesome packaging and artwork”.
See if I were a normal journalist I would have made a “No Surprises” tie-in to this story in the first paragraph. But that’s not gonna happen. Deal with it.
