If this is actually true then get ready to literally shit yourself. Blabbermouth is reporting that Lars Ulrich of Metallica may try to organize a tour featuring Metallica with Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax.

Slayer axeman Kerry King said in an interview that he heard about Lars trying to make this tour happen and gave his thoughts on the idea. “I don’t know Lars that well and I haven’t heard it from Lars, but apparently he’s talking to somebody about it,” King said. While this lineup would be a dream show, King was a bit skeptical when he talked about Anthrax being a part of it.

“There’s better options than Anthrax and that’s nothing against Anthrax, but they’ve just been in pieces for quite some time and that doesn’t make as much sense to me.” King suggested that a band like Machine Head would be a better fit.

Now this idea isn’t too far-fetched considering that Slayer will be touring with Megadeth when they head to Australia and Canada this year. Let’s just hope that this “Monsters of Thrash” tour actually does happen. I’ve needed a good reason to see Metallica again and Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax are three real good reasons.
