Courtney Love’s tribute to John Hughes
I just came across this video over at Courtney Love’s Twitvid page. It looks to be a late night session in the studio while she does an acoustic rendition of the song “Don’t You Forget About Me” as a tribute to John Hughes.
Now you could automatically write this off and just be like “Oh my God, this is fucking terrible” but let’s remember something. This is Courtney Love we’re talking about. She never had the best voice. She always had a raspy sound when she sang/screamed. It’s also in the studio and it looks to be late so she might be a bit tired (perhaps after working on new Hole material?) Also she looks like she’s messing around and not taking it seriously which explains the jumping around and screaming.
OK I’ve played the part of devil’s advocate. You can go ahead and say how much the video sucks now.
