Julian Casablancas – 11th dimension
Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas is streaming a brand new song from his upcoming album Phrazes For The Young called “11th Dimension” and you can check it out up top.
The album, which comes out on October 20th, is Casablancas first foray into solo work and it only contains eight songs. The rest of his Strokes bandmates have already released solo pieces (Albert Hammond, Jr. is still winning in that department).
If you’re thinking that this album will sound anything like The Strokes then you’re a bit off. The song is more of a poppy, synth driven song. There’s not much guitar but that doesn’t mean the song is terrible. It’s actually really catchy and quite good. Will it get stuck in your head? Yes, since it’s already stuck in mine and I only listened to it five minutes ago. Can you dance to it? Yes, but since I can’t dance I’ll just tap my feet furiously.
