Vampire Weekend – Horchata
Vampire Weekend are back in a big way. Today they released a brand new mp3 for download over at their official website. The song is called “Horchata” from their upcoming second album Contra which will be in stores on January 12th, 2010.
The song is a pretty cool listen. Vampire Weekend still manage to conjure up those afro-pop sounds that we all know and love. It’s definitely a good song to have handy as the weather turns a bit colder. It’s bouncy feel almost feels like you’re partying on a beach in the Caribbean. All in all I give it a thumbs up on both hands.
Check out the song in its entirety below and if you live in Canada or on the West Coast of the U.S. then the tour dates down below will definitely catch your eye. Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go and learn how to make Horchata.
