Death Cab For Cutie – Meet Me On The Equinox
Death Cab For Cutie’s new song “Meet Me On The Equinox” gets the Twilight treatment in the brand new music video that you can check out up top.
The song, which appears on the New Moon soundtrack, is a good one. It’s catchy and it’ll hopefully expose thousands of little vampire wannabe tweens to a good band like Death Cab. Sadly the song is on the soundtrack for the movie which means the music video gives you good doses of scenes from the upcoming Twilight sequel. These are the only scenes I’ve ever seen from the film and they’ll be the ONLY scenes I see from the film.
This soundtrack, however, could be one of the better records of the year. With artists like Death Cab, Muse, Thom Yorke, Band of Skulls, The Killers, Bon Iver, St. Vincent and Grizzly Bear all contributing original tracks, you’re pretty much guaranteed to fill your indie-rock quota with this one record. The soundtrack hits stores on October 20th and yes it probably will be in my record collection. I’ll be sure to remove the artwork.
