RiO! Band of the Week – Taikes
When you think of rock music from Sweden your mind usually drifts to images of evil, black, death metal with horrifying lyrics and heavy sounds attached to it. However our brand new RiO! Band of the Week defies all those thoughts.
Taikes is a Swedish band that takes on the sound reminiscent of bands like Nirvana and Chevelle. Their alternative/grunge sound is a nice break from the usual Swedish fare. So go and show them some love and support by heading over to their Myspace page and checking out their brand new single “Bones” along with other great songs.
Would it be in bad taste to make a Swedish Chef joke in this post? Yeah if I had to ask then it’s probably a stupid idea. Congrats to Taikes!
