White Stripes to release rare outtakes

We’re about to get a pretty cool rock history lesson compliments of the White Stripes as they’ll be releasing outtakes from their very first recording session ever (via NME).
Jack and Meg White will release the outtakes of their first single from 1998 called “Let’s Shake Hands” and the b-side “Look Me Over Closely” via The Vault which is a subscriber based program through Third Man Records’ website. The rare recordings will only be available to platinum subscribers of the vault who will also get the vinyl album The Raconteurs: Live in London as well as a poster of Jack’s other band The Dead Weather.
I’m pretty sure I saw this vinyl being sold at the Third Man store when I was in Nashville. It was a 7″ record that was being sold for $100. So if the vinyl of the actual songs were going for a hundo I can only imagine what the vinyl of the outtakes would go for at the store. Did you know they only take cash at Third Man? Who carries $100 in their pocket anymore? Perhaps I should join this vault they got goin’ on.
