Them Crooked Vultures release first single next week

When I saw Them Crooked Vultures at Roseland Ballroom in NYC last week, it was a mindfuck of an experience. Between being less than 10 feet away from John Paul Jones and having my ears blown off from the monster sound that was emanating from the stage, I could honestly say that it was one of the top two shows I had seen all year. So it only gets me more excited to know that the band is getting closer to releasing an album by announcing their first single.
The band will debut their song “New Fang” to radio stations across the country on Monday October 27th as they prepare to release their self-titled first album on November 17th according to FMQB.
I would have personally liked it if they released “Nobody Loves Me and Neither Do I” as the first single but it’s too long according to radio standards (radio singles usually sit around 3:35 minutes).
So now that I know it’s pretty much been confirmed that the album is officially coming out this year, I’m gonna have to make room on my top 5 albums of 2009 list. Maybe I’m just overhyping but based on what I saw at Roseland this album could be the last minute knockout punch of the year. If you’re not familiar with “New Fang” check it out below.
