Brad Nowell’s family: “Don’t use the name Sublime.”

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

A "reunited" Sublime is looking to take the stage this weekend at Cypress Hill's Smokeout Festival. Original members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh will team up with new member Rome Ramirez on guitar and vocals and play as the band Sublime. Unless Brad Nowell's family has anything to say about it.
Brad Nowell, the original voice of Sublime, died of a drug overdose in 1996 and never heard the album Sublime which gave his band national recognition. Since then… Read More

RiO! Band of the Week – Doublethink

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

New London, Connecticut steps up this week as the place that gives us our brand new RiO! Band of the Week: Doublethink.
Sporting a name that's a reference to George Orwell's 1984, these four rockers have started to make some waves in the music world. Recently their songs "California Doll", "Going Nowhere" and "You Think We're in Love?" were played during new episodes of MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Ruins. More importantly, however,… Read More

Them Crooked Vultures release first single next week

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

So it only gets me more excited to know that the band is getting closer to releasing an album by announcing their first single.

Happy 20th Pretty Hate Machine!

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

Just taking the time to recognize one of rock music's most amazing albums from one of the most influential rock bands of the last 20 years.
I was lucky enough to see Nine Inch Nails on their recent "Wave Goodbye" tour and, even though the songs on Pretty Hate Machine still sound incredible, the live versions blew everyone away. I still listen to this album when I wanna get pumped up. Trent Reznor delivered on his first album and has continued to do… Read More
