RiO! Band of the Week – Dying To Live
It always seems that southern rock bands always go for the bigger sound. Maybe because there’s more open space in the south unlike here in NYC where everything is jam-packed and a tad claustrophobic. But our brand new RiO! Band of the Week lives up to that southern sound and they’re called Dying To Live from Oklahoma City, OK.
This modern rock band claims many influences from Stone Temple Pilots to Foo Fighters to Creed (ugh) but these guys aren’t as annoying like many other “red state” rockers. So head on over to their Myspace page and give them a listen. You may suddenly feel the urge to get into a GMC and drive across the southern plains with their songs on full blast. I won’t blame you if you do.
They have an album coming out soon so keep an eye out for these boys.
