The RiO!B’s top ten rock albums of the decade are…?

Well here it comes. That time of year when all the blogs release their “Best of…” lists. But this year in particular is special because it marks the end of the first 21st century decade and there’s been a lot of music released over the past 10 years.

Websites like Pitchfork went with Radiohead’s Kid A as their number one while websites like Consequence of Sound and NME went with the surprising yet pleasant choice of The Strokes’ Is This It? album.

Now while most websites are doing a top 100 albums list which includes all genres of music we’re taking on a slightly bigger task. We’re only looking for ten albums. The top ten rock albums of this decade and we want your input. I know this is quite a daunting task (how can I summarize ten years of music to into so few records?) but I know you can do it.

On December 17, 2009 we will make our list known to the world. Feel free to cross all types of rock sub genres when making your selections. From indie/shoegaze to black metal, let us know your top ten albums that define the decade. You can send your picks over to riotoptenalbums@gmail.com and I will take them into consideration. I highly suggest you get involved as this will be your definitive list of records that you must own…until we do this again in 2019.

The top ten rock albums of the last ten years! Let’s get started.

Your list of top albums were pretty good, I would have picked many of those for a list myself.
