New Dead Weather in March 2010?

The Dead Weather, whose album Horehound is a contender for the RiO!B’s top 5 albums of 2009, may very well also be a contender for our top 5 albums of 2010 if Jack White isn’t pulling our leg.

Jack spoke to Rolling Stone and hinted that March of 2010 may be the due date for album number two. “We’ll probably be having a new album by that time, if we’re lucky. We have a lot of songs cooking right now, we’ve been playing a few of them live and I’m sure by March the entire 20 or 25 songs will be onstage by then.”

So will the album have more of Jack’s vocals on it or will Alison Mosshart dominate even more on this record? “We can’t tell you that much about it except that it’s gonna be really expansive, and I use that word loosely in a scientific sense, meaning that I’m just using it to distract you.” You sneaky, glorious bastard.
