My Morning Jacket rock American Dad
If you’ve not seen the episode of American Dad with special guests My Morning Jacket then click play up top and get ready to make with the laughs.
While the show isn’t a favorite of mine, it’s cool to know that bands like MMJ are getting some well deserved recognition on national television…even if it is in animated form. Plus the show featured a lot of great songs including “I’m Amazed” and “Highly Suspicious”. If you’ve seen the film Almost Famous, like My Morning Jacket and comedian Zach Galifianakis then this episode should make you giggle a bit.
Also, in addition to the episode, ATO Records will release a special digital EP containing the six songs that were used on the show and some dialogue clips from the show according to the band’s website. This is meant to be as a starter set for people not familiar with Jim James and crew.
BTW the song that turns the lead character Stan into an MMJ groupie on the show is “Wordless Chorus” from their album Z. What’s your favorite MMJ tune?
