Gorillaz reveal info on new album
Finally! Some news on my favorite animated apes, Gorillaz, has been revealed from the creator and lead singer Damon Albarn (he also had a live band called Blur I guess?) and it concerns the brand new album which we now know is called Plastic Beach.
In an interview with The Guardian (via TwentyFourBit), Damon talked about how the band’s third album is “the most pop record I ever made.” He also mentioned that artists including Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg, Mos Def and The Horrors will appear on the record.
There is no release date for the album as of yet but if it does come out in 2010, which I’m guessing it will, then that will just bolster the argument for 2010 being one of the best years in rock music for the new millenium.
