The Decemberists’ Here Come The Waves on iTunes today

The Decemberists’ epic album called The Hazards of Love got an upgrade this year when they transformed it into Here Come The Waves; a live show that debuted in Los Angeles back in October which incorporated visuals to accompany the music. If you didn’t get the chance to see the show, you now have the chance to grab it on iTunes.

Up top is the trailer for Here Come The Waves which features work by four filmmakers – Peter Sluszka, Julia Pott, Guilherme Marcondes, and Santa Maria – each of whom created their own animation for a section of the album. The breakdown is down below.

It may not be The Dark Side of Oz but it’s still an amazing video collaboration to go along with one of the better albums of 2009. Plus you could probably enjoy this one without being under an influence.
