Metallica playing Sonisphere with Anthrax, Slayer and Mastodon
“Wow” is really all I could say when finding out this bit of information. Turns out that three of the big four of thrash metal bands – Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax – will take the stage at Sonisphere with Mastodon and Behemoth.
Metallica released this statement on their website about the show:
“We are now entering the June portion of the ‘random tour announcement’ derby and today’s installment is one that is particularly exciting for us as we are proud to tell you that we will again be headlining the Sonisphere festival, now embarking upon its second year in existence. The first show of the traveling festival will be on June 16 at Bemowo Airport in Warsaw, Poland and joining us are some longtime friends . . . SLAYER, ANTHRAX, and MASTODON!”
This show will take place in Warsaw, Poland at the Bemowo Airport on June 16, 2010. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, December 10th, and you can go to the Sonisphere website to select the show you would like to attend and get tickets.
Anyone up for vacationing in Poland this year? I’ve never been there and this would be the perfect excuse to go.
