Coachella dates/layaway tickets announced
And so begin the festival announcements for 2010 in the U.S.A. To kick things off we have the festival in the California desert known as Coachella which goes down from April 16-18, 2010.
According to the festival website, Coachella will now sell “layaway” tickets which will go for $269 and can bought in one of two ways (online payments only). The first option is to pay 50% of the ticket plus the additional fees with the remaining 50% deducted from your credit card in the first week of March.
The second option is to pay 10% of the ticket price and fees and then in the first weeks of February and March the other payments will be taken from your credit card.
In addition to layaway ticketing, another change to Coachella this year is the addition of car camping. It’s basically what it sounds like: you get to park your car next to your tent in a space that’s 10 x 30. You’ll be able to walk in and out of the festival at your leisure and you can fit as many people/tents as you can in the space. However, it’s only one car per spot.
Coachella is expected to be a big one this year with bands like Muse, The xx, Devo, Phoenix and more playing the festival. I suggest you head over here to see who else is rumored to play.
