Julian Casablancas – I Wish It Was Christmas Today
One of the more memorable songs to come from Saturday Night Live was “I Wish It Was Christmas Today” with Horatio Sanz, Jimmy Fallon, Chris Kattan and Tracy Morgan. Up top you can see a performance of the song with a now skinny Horatio Sanz and Jimmy Fallon before it moves to Julian Casablancas and the Roots performing the holiday tune.
Casablancas released this song on his myspace page when his new album, Phrazes For The Young, was released in stores. So it was cool to finally see Julian with probably the best backing band in the world rock this song out on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Now if only Fallon’s show could be as cool as the musical guests he always manages to get on, I probably wouldn’t dislike the guy as much as I do. Hopefully this song brings you a little Christmas cheer in the most hipster way possible.
