Ozzy Osbourne announces new album

The Prince of Darkness is finally making some musical moves after shocking many people earlier this year when he removed Black Label Society guitarist Zakk Wylde from his band and replaced him with new axeman Gus G. Ozzy has announced that his brand new album, which is his 11th solo one, is called Soul Sucka and it comes out in June of 2010.

The album will be produced by Ozzy himself and Kevin Churko. This record will also feature the new guitarist Gus G, who was formerly in a band called Firewind from Greece. Some of the songs that have been confirmed include titles like “Let It Die”, “Diggin’ Me Down” and “Soul Sucka”.

Soul Sucka? So I assume it’s going to be a metal album with lyrics spoken in jive? Maybe it’s me simply judging a book by it’s title but this album doesn’t sound like it’s going to be anything incredible. I can only assume that it’ll still sell quite a few copies being that Ozzy has a loyal fanbase but with a title that reminds me more of a 70′s Pam Grier film…it’s going to be a hard sell for me.
