Soundgarden reuniting in 2010
What a way to kick off the new year! A recent twitter post from Chris Cornell read the following:
The 12 year break is over & school is back in session. Sign up now. Knights of the Soundtable ride again! www.soundgardenworld.com
So for anyone who was hoping and praying and wishing for Chris Cornell to come to his senses and return to his rock roots has gotten their wish and a whole lot more. Plus we also hear (via CoS) that the reunited grunge rockers may play the Coachella festival this year but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Back in ’09 I had heard rumblings about Soundgarden reuniting when lead singer of Shinedown, Brent Smith, mentioned it in an interview with Kerrang! (via TwentyFourBit) but we weren’t sure what to think of it. Next time we’ll go with our gut but for now we’ll just smile knowing another massive band from the 90′s will be out on the road this year.
