Spoon on tour starting in March

As the French would say: super-cool! That pretty much sums up my reaction when seeing that Texas indie-rock band Spoon was hittin’ the pavement in March on a nearly one month cross-country tour in support of their new album Transference which hits shelves on January 19.

It all kicks off at SXSW on March 19th at the legendary Stubbs in Austin, TX and will conclude on April 13 in Oakland, CA at Fox Theater. Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, January 15, over at Ticketmaster.

Consequence of Sound is reporting that the bands Deerhunter, Royal Oak, The Strange Boys and Mikachu & The Shapes will all serve as openers for Spoon at certain points throughout the tour so you now have a reason to get to the venue early.
