System of a Down to reunite?



Up top, you are seeing a tweet from System Of A Down bassist Shavo Odadjian. Could those six words (six if you count the letter U as a word) mean that SOAD will reunite in 2010?

The band has been on “hiatus” since 2006 with all the band members doing their own thing. Lead singer Serj Tankian released his solo album, Elect The Dead, and will release a CD/DVD of a live performance of his album with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.

Guitarist Daron Malakian and drummer John Dolmayan formed Scars On Broadway and released their debut album but then decided not to tour right before their national television debut on The Jimmy Kimmel Show.

Fans have been begging the band to get back together and tour and this little ol’ tweet from Shavo might be the door we’ve been waiting to see opened. More details as this hopefully becomes a bigger story.
