Director Robert Zemeckis is getting ready to start work on his next project which is a remake of the animated Beatles film Yellow Submarine. But who would play the new versions of the Fab Four? Look at the next paragraph, skippy.

TwentyFourBit reports that actor Cary Elwes (known mostly from The Princess Bride) will play George Harrison. Actors Peter Serafinowicz (Shaun of the Dead), Adam Campbell (Epic Movie) and Dean Lennox Kelly (Doctor Who) will play Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and John Lennon respectively.

The movie will be done in the same 3D-animation style of movies such as Beowulf, The Polar Express and A Christmas Carol.

The music in the film will use all 16 Beatles songs from the original movie including “Eleanor Rigby”, “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds”, “All You Need Is Love” and more. Yellow Submarine is expected to be in theaters by the summer of 2012.
