Coldplay hit with plagiarism lawsuit…again
OK it was funny the first time Coldplay got slapped with a plagiarism accusation from Brooklyn band The Creaky Boards. It was kinda funny when Joe Satriani called foul on the band saying they ripped off his tune “If I Could Fly” for their song “Viva La Vida”. It got real funny when Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens to the non-updated) stepped up and blew the whistle on Chris Martin and Co. But now…I fear this joke has run its course.

Consequence of Sound is reporting (via TMZ) that a man by the name of Sammie Lee Smith has accused the band of stealing material from him. He’s said to have recorded 4,000 tunes and he claims that the Coldplay hits “Yellow”, “Clocks” and “Trouble” were songs from his back-catalog.
Smith describes himself as a “well-talented” but “unknown” songwriter. I’m just gonna venture a guess and say that the description actually stands for “unsuccessful” and “horrible. But hey what do I know? I’m probably gonna be next in line to sue Coldplay for something. Oh man they breathe air just like I do! I’m suing their asses so bad that little Apple and Moses won’t have a golden rattle to play with by the time I’m through.

So this guy is coming forward now that their allegedly plagiarized songs have been out and selling like hot cakes for years? Did he miss them on the radio all the time? It’s kinda convenient that the songs he is suing them for are the top selling songs the band has ever had.

Apologize for this noobie question. Could you let me know what this blog template is? I really like it. Or is it custom template, maybe? I believe it will be a great option for Google ads as well. I’d like it if you can let me know about this. Thanks.
