Disturbed recording new album next month

David Draiman and the dark rockers of Disturbed are set to hit the studio next month and begin work on their fifth album.
Guitarist Dan Donegan spoke to The Pulse of Radio and added some insight on the upcoming recording sessions. “I think at this point we’re probably somewhere between 15 to 18 songs, with the exception of David (Draiman, singer) having to finalize, you know, a few more lyrics to some of the songs. But, you know, we’re ready to go. You know, we’re excited about new songs, and to get in there and kind of lay down these ideas.”
In addition to the new album which is expected to come out this summer, 2010 will be a sort of re-birth for Disturbed. Their debut album, The Sickness, will be re-issued in a 10th anniversary package. According to Donegan, the band added a few surprises to the decade anniversary edition. “…we went back into the studio and we remixed it, we’re having it remastered, we’re gonna put a couple of bonus tracks on there and touch up some of the packaging and the artwork. Just a little collector’s item, a little tribute to that album for the fans.”
There will also be a Decade of Disturbed DVD out this year and you can check out the trailer right here.
