Soundgarden rumored for Sonisphere festival

With all the recent hoopla over the Coachella festival lineup being announced, one band that was rumored to make an appearance at the California music festival didn’t make the cut. The return of Soundgarden may not take place in the U.S. but maybe in the U.K.

It’s being reported that Chris Cornell and his 90′s grunge powerhouse of a band may play the Sonisphere festival in Knebworth, England (via CoS). If these rumors are true then the reunited Soundgarden would share the stage with already in place Sonisphere headliners Iron Maiden and Rammstein.

The festival goes from July 30 to August 1 and already has a packed lineup including Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Slayer, Anthrax, Mötley Crüe, and a whole lot more. Check out Sonisphere’s website for more details on the rock festival.
