Rock music Grammy winners

Tonight is the night where the biggest and brightest stars in music come together to congratulate each other for winning awards based on the amount of records they sold the quality of their records and songs.

But here’s something you may not have known. A ton of the awards are handed out prior to the televised show that you see due to time constraints. Since so many of those awards were already handed out in the rock music categories, we might as well let you know who won so you can spare yourself the trouble of watching artists you hate perform on your TV.

Down below are the categories and the artist that won. Were your predictions correct? I’m pretty sure most of mine were off.

Best Alternative Music Album:
Phoenix – Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix

Best Solo Rock Performance Vocal:
Bruce Springsteen – “Working On A Dream”

Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals:
Kings Of Leon – “Use Somebody”

Best Hard Rock Performance:
AC/DC – “War Machine”

Best Metal Performance:
Judas Priest – “Dissident Aggressor”

Best Rock Instrumental Performance:
Jeff Beck – “A Day In The Life”

Best Rock Song:
Kings Of Leon – “Use Somebody”

Best Rock Album:
Green Day – 21st Century Breakdown

Record Of The Year:
Kings Of Leon – “Use Somebody

Song Of The Year:
BeyoncĂ© – “Single Ladies”

Album Of The Year:
Taylor Swift – Fearless

All in all, the Grammy awards were a disappointment this year. Hopefully rock music surges for next year’s award ceremony. Thank goodness we only have to do this once a year.
