Metalheads of the U.S. and the world, rejoice! For I bring you tidings of good cheer and bad beer. The traveling heavy metal show that is Ozzfest will return this year after taking time off in 2009.
There's no other info on the festival except that it will make its return in July which is the same month that Ozzy Osbourne will release his brand new album. Speaking of his album, it will no longer be called Soul Sucka.
Ozzy spoke to Rolling… Read More

On Sunday night a benefit concert for Haiti was held at the Henry Fonda Theater in Los Angeles. Approximately $572,754 was raised for the devastated island nation. Was this a concert with a gaggle of bands and guests? Nope. Just one band raised all that cashish and that was Radiohead.
In a special one-off concert where the minimum price for a ticket was $475, the Oxford five treated the crowd to large portions of their catalog. Songs included the classics… Read More

Kings of Leon will pay to record new albums
Saturday, January 23rd, 2010
Looks like the Followill boys have got themselves a new deal where they'll pay to record their new albums. Sound weird? Actually, it's not a bad idea.
Kings of Leon have left Columbia Records and signed a deal with Warner Brothers which includes the band paying for half of the recording costs on their own (via Contact Music). This, in turn, means that the guys… Read More
RiO! Band of the Week – This Nightmare Ends At Sunrise
Friday, January 22nd, 2010
This week's RiO! Band of the Week champion hails from the Golden State of California but their music is anything but sunny and cheery.
The band known as This Nightmare Ends At Sunrise is that band that you'll blast really loud to annoy the crap outta your little sister if she keeps playing her Ke$ha CD. It's loud, demonic hardcore screamo music that will make you want to fight someone in a concrete room even if you had absolutely no desire to.
