After what has seemed like years of waiting (wait…it HAS been years), the OG NYC hipster band The Strokes are back in the studio working on new material.

The band’s website posted a picture of Avatar Studios in New York City where the band has been working on their fourth LP since February 1st. They’re also working with producer Joe Chiccarelli (U2, Beck, Bjork) and engineer Gus Oberg.

Good to see that the boys are all playing nice. After what frontman Julian Casablancas had said in the press a month ago about the band’s situation, I wasn’t sure if they would all get along.

The Strokes will headline the Isle of Wight festival this summer which will be their first show together since 2006.
